PRAISING GOD FOR A BANNER YEAR ON THE AIRWAVES . . .

As 2009  draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on some amazing ways in which the Lord has blessed this ministry, specifically our Testify Radio program. God has touched a new record number of hearts through TESTIFY and we give Him all the glory! I thought it would fun to share on the blog a sample of some blessed listeners and “Testify” Testimony’s coast to coast:

I want you to know that I listen to you on the Bridge FM all the way in the Poconos. I download your podcasts every week and listen to you and Bob Botsford to and from work every day. I had gone to church for 10 years, then fell out. Recently I came across the BridgeFM and have been listening to you for four months straight. I have to say, I have never felt the Holy Spirit touch my heart more (except when I read my Bible) then when I listen you to and Bob Bostford.

I love love love the fact that you believe Jesus is coming tomorrow (and at 8:30 I think you said would be fine with you). This comes through in most of your sermons and it makes a difference. I’ve heard many preachers, but when I hear your sermons I have to say that God has truly ordained you!

For the first time in my life I am reading the Bible from beginning to end. I can’t believe I waited this long to do this. But I know I’ve had trouble trusting in God and I wanted to settle that issue once and for all. So I figured that in order to do so, I  need to get to know the God that I want to trust and that the only way to do that is through His word.

I love the way you understand the Bible and how you express that understanding. You pick up things in context in a way I’ve never ever heard before and I truly get such a kick out of it.

I prayed last night that the Lord would help me to understand the Bible the way you do, that’s how much of an impression this has on me. The humanity you find in the stories such as Peter and the blind man and many others. I feel very blessed in that I am able to hear your sermons.

I have never been to a “BridgeFest” before.  But it is my prayer that you might attend it this summer. I would love to meet you. So PREACH ON PREACHER….PREACH ON!!!  Love in Christ, Linda

Wow, did our ladies outdo themselves again this year at the annual Christmas Tea. Completely sold out for three consecutive night, it was a dazzling display of the finest of china and glassware to the most elaborate centerpieces anywhere. Even the tables that were simpler in their trimming were decorated with such love that the home section at Neiman Marcus had nothing on them. But more than an amazing display of floral and decoration was the outpouring of God’s love on these ladies by the message of truth that our church once again had the privilege to share. Cindy Sutherland (wife of Doug who serves as the Chaplain of the San Diego Padres) did an AMAZING job as our speaker. The musicians sang like Angels and my wife Bonnie hosted each night with a true sense of awe at how God again has blessed this ministry beyond what we ever thought possible. So all those made it happen, and were blessed because of it, my deepest thanks and God’s richest blessings.
