My family and I have been attending Horizon, since February 2010. This is the first time, I have ever left an entry or commented on this blog or any blog. The sermon today, especially the delivery was impressive. The message was straight to the point and invoked deep thought in my wife and I. I understand the restraint by most pastors to stay clear of the money subject and tread even more light footed with regard to politics. Thank you for giving a clear view of our hearts desire, when it comes to money and the down fall of a perverted love affair with it. Your message resonated with me, especially the example given about accomplishing personal goals first, instead of putting the Lord first! I have never heard a pastor declare from the stage, a dollar figure to any of the budget issues a church faces, even something so trivial, as coffee. I don’t think you or any pastor should have justify your spending habits or assets, even when there is no smoke. I applaud you for being so open and exposed with what you have (own) and what you drive. Spiritual leaders should be blameless and for that, thank you for giving us a clear indication that you understand that very message. Looking forward to hearing you next week.
